Trent Reznor usa BitTorrent — Il frontman della band Nine Inch Nails ha ammesso, nel corso di un’intervista, di avere avuto un account su OiNK, il popolare sito che tramite BitTorrent permetteva di scaricare album e brani musicali.
OiNK recentemente è stato chiuso con l’accusa di violazione di copyright. Trent Reznor difende però in parte questi sistemi di file sharing perché sostiene che essi offrono qualcosa che il mercato non mette a disposizione, lamentandosi soprattutto della bassa qualità dei brani acquistabili su iTunes.
Ecco le parole di Trent:
They’re not stealing it because they’re going to make money off of it; they’re stealing it because they love the band. I’m not saying that I think OiNK is morally correct, but I do know that it existed because it filled a void of what people want.
